cannot create a new listing or edit one

Since sometime on July 12, 2021 I Cannot create a new listing or edit an existing one. What I get is this response.

Really ebay? I switched to the "new" listing tool and it listed the item. The PROBLEM is that I do not like the new listing tool at all! It is cumbersome to use vs. the standard listing I have used, which is much easier to use.
When I switch back to the "old" one I just get the same old message.

Exactly same issue since 8:30am EST this morning.  Called Ebay twice, said they are aware and working on it.  Ok I guess.

Just tried to list an item and got the same message.

It is most likely something to do with the Item Specifics. Check all those fields and make sure all required fields are filled in. If the field offers a choice, you must choose one that is offered, unless it allows user input.

This problem has popped up a lot lately because of eBay's changes to item specifics in many categories.

I have the same problem.  Ebay tells us that they want more item specifics from us - that, for the most part, were already given in the old listing template, and then when we try to comply it won't work.  

Is anyone else tired of wasting time trying to comply to changes they make, and the "system" won't even allow you to try and make the changes.    

Ebay, you think you're going forward and "improving" things - but I'm not convinced that we're doing that.  Just about every time you try and improve or tweak the system there are problems.  And meanwhile sales are stinkin right now for many sellers.  My renewal time is coming up very soon and, though I have about 1900 listings right now, sales are so slow that I don't have much to lose by not renewing.   There's no personal contact or concern from those in charge of this, except maybe to invite us to a monthly online session that will tell us how to sell successfully on this platform.  Ya right.

Are you certain the problem is not related to item-specifics?

Lots of folks listing trading cards and comic books are having problems -- and getting that same error message -- since eBay stopped recognizing "--" as a valid item-specific for Condition. Changing that to "new" or "used" seems to work, though, depending on which options are available.

100% positive it is not tangled up with Item Specifics...Tried that and it is not the issue, and ebay says that they are aware of a software problem and do not know how long the fix will take. Every time ebay tries to "improve", there are always glitches attached and this new listing tool is not better than the "classic" tool I have been using, just one more glitch to overcome. Of course if it isn't broken, fix it anyway, then it will become broken and then maybe that will get fixed! If you switch to the "classic" tool, CRASH! good grief.........

Still not working for me.   When I hit enter the process does not complete so no error message but no new listing.  Hard to believe that a company can be this incompetent.

I was not able to edit my old listing, so I just cancelled the auction. What a pain!

I was actually trying to create a template for a variation list and the site just crashed after 100 variations! Needless to say, I had to back out without a save. It was on their end, not mine.
