I sold an item and shipping cost three times the cost of the item, therefore the buyer never paid and wanted to cancel. I tried to cancel several times and it would not accept my request. The buyer filed a "did not receive" claim against me. What am I to do with this mess? Thanx

The buyer can not claim INR if they did not pay.

They can not get a refund if a human intervenes and closes the case in the seller's favour. The buyer can file an INR for an unpaid item because the system allows that, and if the case is responded to online incorrectly the refund might appear on the eBay bill. I have been told by CSRs in the past with refund messes to not process the refund if I've already refunded, because I might be refunding twice.
OP needs to call CSR to get this closed out in their favour.
