well the subject line says it all. i am perturbed by this action , almost like the actions of a racist no , communication , no nothing just horrid meaningless smite.
so ebay does automatic return for buyer, no correspondence from them either, buyer states the item is broken and lights dont work , item is sealed in a box, how would i know i explain item is new please return, no probs no answer automatic negative feedback , i ask why no response. ebay then advices me to refund money, but decision is mine. I want to wait till i get back my things first and check , because customers ask me to beware sounds like a scam. they think he has probably switch out his own unit for mine thats why zero communication and experienced scammer reaching to ebay first.
22 years on ebay zero bad feedback. annoying as **bleep**

Yes i agree with you that the buyer SHOULD have given you a chance to make things right before leaving negative feedback. Some people do not. Unfortunately ebay will not remove this feedback as it does not violate any policies.
At this point all you can do is leave a good reply to the feedback. Remember buyers will see this reply and decide to buy from you based on it. I would go with something this...
"I wish you would have contacted me first. Please return item for a full refund."
Good luck and stay safe!

Buyers are not required to communicate with sellers before leaving feedback, or about disputes.
And for some buyers, no amount of communication will magically turn a negative experieine into a positive one.
I would not take it personally. And I certainly would not equate to to being a racist! That's laying it on a bit thick IMHO.

I see nothing racist in that negative feedback.
Looking at it from the buyer’s viewpoint, they paid $370 for an item that doesn’t work. Of course they are unhappy!
Like the other poster said, buyers do not have to contact a seller before leaving feedback.

You've apparently lost all perspective. It's an eBay transaction, not the end of the world.

I guess i should have added more meat to the story to why i thought that, but as a seasoned seller told me after i showed him my messages and pictures of the set after receiving it. "Why let your blood boil over this , it just aint worth it. These are strange times and people are reacting not of their norm." So i decided to accept the fact that everyone has a bad day, myself included and a single written word should not be taken out of context.

old post but i’m in a pickle similar. i’m a new ebay seller and i made a listing that i then sold to someone by communicating via messages and they were already buying the item. money sent everything… then someone else bought the listing. i messaged that seller directly and apologized for the incomvience. i then recieved an order cancellation request but no response on their part so i assumed they read my message asking to refund them. completeled the refund, shipped the game to the other buyer so on so on.. i open ebay to a negative review from the one i refunded. “never sent game” i messages then asking why they left a bad review when i directly specified i do not have the game for sale anymore as someone else bought it already. no response. but a revise to their review was made. this time, it was HORRID. i responded to the feedback thru the webpage.. i’m worried they will only revise it again in an attempt to make my response not visible any longer. i’m absolutely furious! i’ve only made 4 sales, two were delivered today and the other two i’m shipping out today so i hope they leave me good feedback seeing as my only seller feedback is this one.. it feels like a personal attack and it’s hard not to get angry.. i’m at a loss for what to do!

If you had already sold the item through messages and the buyer paid you how was a second buyer able to also buy the item.
Did the 1st buyer go through eBay or email you privately. If the 1st buyer paid through eBay the 2nd buyer would not have been able to purchase.
Was it the second buyer who left you the Negative?
This sounds like you went off eBay to sell to the 1st buyer but didn't end the listing.
If that is the case you absolutely deserve the negative.
