buyer is using a fake address. how should i deal with this?

B0X 486 (yes, this is the address)

It's actually b0x. that's not an o. I also don't know if I could add the PO in front and correct it myself if i would still get sellers protection.

I sent a message to the buyer explaining the situation to them, how usps won't let me print out a label, and how i don't want to void my seller protection by changing the address. I'm currently waiting for him to respond. luckily, It's the weekend so I have until Monday to ship it out.

i would like to know what my options are please. 🙂

Look up the address at USPS (zip code lookup) just to check if it's an actual USPS box (PO Box xxx), it could be a private box in which case the PO part should not be included.

Changing the 0 to an O and/or adding PO if it is one will have no effect on Seller protection. The only thing eBay or PayPal requires is that the zip code matches.

I've seen hundreds, maybe thousands of addresses where it's clear the user is either a joker or they have no clue how to properly format their address.

Not usually a problem for me since I don't use eBay or PayPal for labels but rather a "real" postage provider that will automatically correct this type of error.

Is the only problem that there is no P.O. in front of Box? If so, add those letters. You're not changing the zip code or changing where the item is going to go so you would still be covered for an inr.
