A friend says there is a boycott right now against Ebay/Elon Musk. I am not on social media so I don't know. Sales are down quite a lot though, compared to a good week last week. Anyone know about such a thing?

I am not aware of a boycott of "eBay/Elon Musk" who are not really related in any way.
You may not be on social media, but you are on the internet - so you could simply Google it.

Unless you're listing/selling Teslas, you're probably safe. 🙂

Your sales look great considering the category you sell in. And it looks like you sold some China! 👍
When you say sales are down quite a lot, how much are they off?
There is no boycott but there is a lot of selective outrage these days. Nothing to worry about.
Keep Listing!

Never heard of this one... just another tantrum du jour by some small activist group with a bone to pick and wanting attention. These kinds of tantrums, if they are even widely publicized, usually are short-lived and don't seriously affect the intended target's bottom line.
I don't participate in tantrum "boycotts". It's a waste of time with little results to speak of.
Get on with life and spend your time listing and tweaking your listings in order to ride thru the normal ups and downs of online commerce. It's been this way since the beginning.
Cheers, Duffy

I don't involve myself with boycotts.
Social media is a plethora of unsubstantiated and useless information.

Not that in particular, no, but there's always somebody boycotting something. The problem is that unless you can affect a significant percentage of people involved with your target, no one will notice. Boycotting a local business over some perceived slight could possibly have some effect, but not a company with millions and millions of customers.

I don't have numbers, just few sales a day. It could be that I have not been listing in a perky way this week, need to buckle down.
I did fulfill a goal of hauling away deadwood. Some of it was dishes that were never paid for. I sent a diplomatic email saying I would be cancelling the order for non payment unless hearing about any problem ASAP. No response so I cancelled the overdue order and took the dishes to Goodwill. Next day she wrote to say she'd been on vacation. Seems to me that if she knew she would be away from the internet she should have sent a message before leaving.

No boycott against EBAY just Musk (Tesla stock is dropping like a rock).
Also there is a 40-day boycott against Target for stopping diversity hiring. Amazon will be next target. Any company that ended diversity hiring will be boycotted (they focus on one company at a time to send a strong message).
