Hi, i am new to selling and book selling. How do you make a discrition for a book you know nothing about. Like describing a romance novel when you never read them thanks

You can just apply the basics by mentioning the author, the publishing year, and the most important part for me is a detailed description of the condition of the book. Interior pages, edges, binding, etc.....
Primarily, you are repeating the item specifics, but adding a 'personal' touch.
Clear pictures......
the ebay descriptions are woefully vague and inadequate.....

Is there not a dust jacket for the book that you can just copy?

Or, if a paperback, just copy the highlights from the rear cover or front right inside cover, to the "Description" area in your listing.
Probably not a major money-source -- so don't spend too much time or effort on this genre.

Type the title name and author detail into AI (I use Bing or copilot.), and maybe the ISBN and see if the AI will write it for you. eBay's AI can write descriptions for you. I then usually modify it, or even have Grammarly rewrite it...lots of ways to do this...
And I would include READABLE pics of the BOOK'S back cover and/or dustjacket flaps as others have mentioned.

Or read the blurb and the publication page.
