Optional listing upgrade fee

I recently sold $375 worth of coins and ebay took $63 of it. "Optional listing upgrade fees" accounted for $5, but I did NOT choose any upgrades in my listing when I listed. How can I find out what this $5 is from to prevent it happening again?

Received 35 dollars on a 80 dollar order?

Im new to ebay & coming to understand that it might not be worth it! I listed an item at 80 dollars which sold immediatly, i had to purchase a 20 dollar label and after 9 days I finally received 35 dollars? How can this be fair? Im highly upset.
