I need to get rid of the bar code on the screen permatly. I don't use it

The bar code on what screen? Can you elaborate a bit? Post a screenshot of it, maybe? Something? Anything that might help with finding a solution for you.

Are you talking about the e-bay barcode scanner on the mobile app on your phone?  The one that is used to easily list an item by scanning the barcode and it pulls the item into the listing software to pre-fill and list?

It's on the app. Click on "list an item" and on the next screen there's a box to describe your item (same as on the web form so you can select the right category). On the right side of the text field there's a very tiny barcode icon. If you tap that you can scan the product's barcode which is supposed to expedite the listing process when the item is in eBay's product database. There is no way to get rid of the icon, and it's really small and out of the way so I don't know why anybody would need to.
