ah...the wonderful world of ebay..

I don't understand how ebay can allow buyers a lot of payment options but they force sellers to use "ebay" system. Paypal paypal paypal. I'm not a new seller but when people sign up, they have to wait 21 days to receive their funds and I realize that you can receive payment sooner based on a few things you can do, blah blah blah, but even a tax refund doesn't take that long to clear in a bank account.  21 days...how do online businesses flourish? You got all this to deal with, let alone "buyers remorse"

They flourish by having a good business plan and sufficient working capital.

A better question might be "how do online businesses expect to flourish without a good business plan and without sufficient working capital?"

Hi and welcome. While the policy says 21 days, it rarely takes that length of time. If following the protocols outlined in eBay’s policy, the funds are sometimes released within 24 hours of verification of requested info. Also, a certain amount is released to cover shipping costs when using eBay’s labels. Below is a link on how to get your money fast, and other pertinent info.

They just have to make sure you not going to scam people and cost Ebay a lot of money by not sending buyers what was ordered and then skipping town so to speak. It's like a new line of credit or a new bank account. You are restricted in the number of and amount of transactions you can do.

Funds are usually released within 3 days of tracked delivery.

Buyers can file claims up to 6 months later in Paypal. You need to have a safety cushion.

I'm actually speaking through experience. It used to be...you sell on ebay, you get the funds, you send the product. Also, I had to wait 21 days after I was already selling. So, I've been on the bad end of ebay and paypal and I'm looking around for other platforms. 😞
