Zero Feedback Bidders Are a Problem

There is something weird going on with zero feedback bidders. I just had an auction end with two zero feedback bidders driving the price up beyond normal and then not paying. That auction had several unique zero feedback bidders. It was an Apple Watch with a cracked screen. An item that people buy, repair and resell. Not typically something a newbie would be interested in.

Don't tell me everyone has to start somewhere. This is a real problem Ebay needs to address. I don't know if it's bots that are trying to disrupt Ebay or people who want to punish people who choose auctions over fixed price. Something rotten is going on.

Zero Feedback Bidders Are a Problem

I run into this often. What I do is I check the buyer profile. Many instances and see they signed up for ebay the day or a few days before place in the bid. I contact them and ask them to respond that they intend to make payment. If I don't hear from them within 24 hours I cance their bid and add them to my blocked bidder list

So much of this but it is tiresome especially when they bid with only mins to go.  Just this week alone I’ve had to cancel and relist $1500+ worth of items that were won by bots.

blows me away ebay is ignoring this issue

That is a solution.  I do it too.  But it’s never ending. Especially on all the high end items, plus the wasted time of relisting when they do win last min.

ebay has to be aware of the problem.  Crazy to me they keep ignoring it.

imo the bot buyers are hoping larger eBay sellers are batch printing their orders and accidentally send out high end items.  Even if it only happens 1 of 1000 times the bots and scammers win

The scam which is what’s happening is bots creating accounts and hoping a store accidentally mails out an item without payment.  Even if it’s only a .5% success rate it’s a win for the scammers.  eBay MUST step in and fix it for us who like to run auctions and force a sale rather than wait for a BIN.
