Never had this happen. These are single item sales, not multiple quantity. Sold them, paid for and shipped and going thru yesterday and today to see them still listed??? When you click on them they say they were sold, yet they are on my active listings. I can cancel them..Again, these were single items, not multiple. What is happening? Anyone know?

If you have opted in to the "Out of stock" option, your listings stay active when the quantity available reaches zero, but nobody else can see the listings. This is a handy feature for sellers who offer multiple quantities but occasionally run out and then have to wait and restock. But if you sell only single items, then it's not a useful option.

Do they still have a quantity of 1 that can be purchased?
I use the Out Of Stock option. When an item sells out, the quantity is 0 and the listing cannot be purchased from. I end those listings manually.

Can you put up an item number for example?

Not sure if it's connected, but there are also multiple threads going right now with people saying eBay randomly increased the quantities in their active listings.
Maybe whatever is causing that issue also caused these items to relist or show quantity available for sale again if the seller has OOS enabled?

Yes....for sure those recently sold items were utilizing the "Out of Stock" feature....
They will show up as "Active" on your Seller Hub...but when you see them from the buyer side, it shows "Out of Stock" and the Buy it Now button is not visible.......
Somehow, this toggle switch for the option (out of stock) got turned "on" recently in your preferences.....

So I made a listing with multiple titles of books and the quantity was 2 on one title. I used the out of stock option... so that has been my default since listing those. What' funny is that eBay doesn't default the thing I wish they did, but on something like this that was clearly for one item keeps set... oh well. Thanks for the help

If you're using the OOS option they'll still be in your actives but SHOULD have a qty of zero.
If they were single item listings, as you said you have to manually end them to get rid of them.

Just wondering..... If this debacle is somehow, someway related to the EIS rollout? Does not seem like it would be connected but this is a major glitch folks are seeing. I mean, they are mucking with their business shipping policies. Quantities probably are not out of reach.

So I marked this as solved, but what is happening is my sold items are still showing up in my active listings for me to see. When I click on it shows it sold and is not available. I then manually end an already ended listing. Still happening.

It will keep happening as long as you have the "Out of stock" option checked off in your site preferences.

So turning that off fixes the counts? Any word they are going to fix this issues? I had to turn my store off it is so bad as items are selling we do not have. This is one the worst thing I have seen on ebay.

Yours is a completely different issue from the original post.
The original poster can see his own sold items despite having an available quantity of zero, because he set up the Out Of Stock option. Your problem seems to be the unfortunate ongoing glitch in which eBay relists items that have been sold, with a quantity greater than zero, so they sell again. There are other threads about this which might offer some suggestions for you.
