Wrong description and Bid

@buraus5   Have you seen the replies to your question?  You have less than 12 hours left to cancel this auction so you can re-list with the correct sizing and revise the Description.

During the final 12 hours of an auction, the only way to end the auction is to sell to the high bidder, but even during those final 12 hours you can still cancel individual bids.

You can contact the buyer but you can’t change info in the auction.

If I were you, I would contact the buyer, let them know you are cancelling their bid and ending the auction because of the mistake.  Correct the problem, relist and let the bidder know the new item number in case they want to bid again.

You might get charged a fee because you ended the auction early and cancelled the bid but that might work out less expensive e than getting a not as described return later on.

For obvious reasons, eBay does not allow a seller to change a listing after a buyer has bid on it. That would give unscrupulous sellers the ability to materially change a listing (change a Rolex to a Timex, for example)  and defraud buyers.

You should cancel the bid and then edit the title, or end the listing and relist with the correct title.

Now that a bid has been received, the title, description and some other details are locked in. (I don't believe they are released if you cancel the existing bid, either.) Best you can do is add to the existing description, and your new text will be added below the original. You can also add photos beyond the existing ones.

However, this listing is a bit of a train-wreck, as the incorrect Item Specific for size (Medium instead of 2XL) was copied into the AI description, which simply amplified the error ("the perfect fit for a medium-sized golfer looking to impress on the green"). If you feel you must use AI descriptions, you must also proofread them to be sure that they are actually correct.

I would suggest sending a note to your bidder to apologize for the error (I seriously doubt he's going to accept a 2XL when he thought he was bidding on a Medium), then cancel his bid and cancel the listing.

I would also suggest adding a closeup of the shirt label showing its size clearly, correcting the Item Specific for shirt size, and adding "2XL" in the title as well, since you have room for it. I would avoid AI descriptions, as they will not correct mistakes, only amplify existing errors, as well as possibly bringing in more. Your own factual description will work fine.  Good luck.

It's not possible to revise the title or description of an auction that has received bids, even if you cancel the bid(s). They have to end the listing, and then make corrections when relisting.

Seller will get charged from the highest bid on the auction item...if seller cancels that auction.

Canceling an auction you might lose "watchers" and they may not return to bid.

I have closed listings on my Watch List (I use it to save sellers as well as items) so you may not  be right on that.

I agree that Watchers may not return.

It is also possible that there are buyers with electronic snipes set up who will be lost when the listing is cancelled.

But not every listing will go perfectly. We don't always get a hole in one. (See what I did there? <giggle>)

Boy that AI description is really terrible.

Too many words for too little information and some of it obviously wrong.

The leather bomber jacket is described as being both Savile Row brand and Bomber brand.

In the short run, proofread your Descriptions for accuracy.

In the long run, don't use AI to do your work.

What is needed is an adjustment. Where is coastal when needed?

In addition to the suggestion of a better photo of the label showing the size it may be good to either use the flash on the phone you are using when taking photos, or not stand between the light source, and the item being photographed😁

If the blue golf shirt is the listing you're referring to, you should follow the advice of pjcdn2005 and others, and end the auction.  With less than 24 hours left in the auction, you should do it ASAP because there is a 12 hour pre-auction deadline to get it done.  When you relist it, among everything else mentioned already, you should make sure there aren't those same shadows in your photos because of their resemblance to sweat stains.

I would follow the advice of @pjcdn2005. But I have to add you should really rethink using AI generated descriptions. For example the Kelty Redwing backpack. The AI description tells me what it DOES but I already know that. Doesn't everyone know how a backpack works? I want to know if it has holes in it (or not), are there scratches in it, what is the material, and what are the dimensions? Tell me something I don't already know! Your picture looks like the color is brown but I guess I have to take your word that it is blue.
