I sold a NWT blue Under Armour hoodie, the buyer got a really good deal on this hoodie too. I just got 3 messages from the buyer complaining that the blue didnĀ“t match the picture, he thought it was a navy blue hoodie. I listed it as blue, not navy blue. He sent me 3 pictures of the same hoodie, and the last picture was the hoodie beside of a navy blue sweatshirt. So it appears that he assumed my hoodie would be that shade of blue. I really donĀ“t feel that I misrepresented my item, what do I do?

That sort of thing is just one of the pitfalls of selling clothes, they are one of the highest return categories and it doesn't matter if you don't accept returns or did everything right.
Just accept the return and cross your fingers, half the time they never send the thing back and thus you never have to refund them. I have had the nastiest, most hostile customers ultimately not send the item back once I accepted the return.

Sorry you got a scrub buyer who sounds like they're thinking the hoodie is 'Not as Described'.
Now, here's what you need to do. Message the buyer and ask that a Return request be opened. When it is... approve the request. You do not have to refund in full until the hoodie is returned to you . Be proactive... save your Seller Metrics.
For what it's worth, I find that if an item sells once, it will again. Get that great hoodie back (and jack up the price a little) to relist for the right buyer. Good luck.

Is there a way of accepting the return but not paying the return shipping?

Just accept the return and cross your fingers,
It might be useful to find out if @cupcake0113 's buyer actually filed for a return first or is just messaging the seller and playing the "tree shaker" game.

Only if the buyer lists a remorse reason... 'Didn't like', 'Found it cheaper', etc., does the buyer pick up return shipping. Sounds like yours is headed to a 'Not as Described'... and if it is, you'll pay return shipping. Sorry...

I think ( know) my reply will not help you make a decision. But, I DO think you DID do what you could. Not sure what will go wrong with the buyer's life because the shirt is not the shade of blue they were guessing it would be. Not even sure in their case that any shade would've been the right shade. Perhaps it was supposed to be 19th century Royal Navy regimental blue.
Seems like the buyer could have asked, if they had doubts before purchasing. And they purchased it at at at a steal, to boot. As the old saying goes. " no good deed goes unpunished".
I feel for you. Hopefully others will soon chime in with better advice.

The thing is that "He thought it was Navy Blue" is eligible for INAD, and if you have a few of them, then you have to pay higher fees because you are disappointing eBay buyers.

You can tell the buyer that everyone's monitor/device/phone can show a color differently. You let them know that if it were navy blue , you would have stated navy blue. Tell them to please wrap and return it and you will give them a refund once they return it. Hopefully, they get the idea that return is on them. If they lie and open a request for INAD, no choice but to accept return, issue a return shipping label and refund once you get it back.
Make sure that you block this buyer. Relist at a higher price to recover your loss in the shipping.

So, if I am the next buyer, I would have to pay for issues that went on with the previous transaction?

The good news is that as long as a seller stays below having a total of 10 INR's or INAD's, the extra fee doesn't kick in. I recently learned this.

Your main listing photo appears navy blue to me, though your additional photos show a lighter and brighter shade of blue.
It sounds like the buyer only looked at the main photo and made assumptions from there.
As other have suggested, offer a refund for return of the goods. It is borderline "not as described" if only going by main photo.

@cupcake0113 Suggestions for you: You should use this as a lesson for future sales. Looking at your clothing listings you barely write one line as a description, yet you show photos using a tape measure on your clothing. That means you are relying solely on your photos for the description-- and look where that got you. That hoodie really does look like a navy blue. Only in the photos with the tape measure can you see it is a lighter blue. When describing colors, you should write a little about the color and use descriptive names, such as this is a light baby blue, or this is an ocean blue, etc.
You have the space to write a description so you really should consider actually using that space. Write your measurements down, not just show a photo and XL. Different manufacturers write XL on a tag but once you try it on the item is either too snug or too loose. Think about how many times you have tried on clothing that says it's your size but turns out not to be. This platform offers a money back guarantee to all buyers so you will be having more and more of these. If you choose to sell clothing online, these are things for you to consider making selling easier for yourself. Best of luck to you....

just accept the return, save yourself alot of hassel. Then relist. Not worth any aggravation, part of doing business.
