Wont let me send Fedex Smart Post to PO Box

The ebay system wont let me send Fedex Smart Post to PO box. Smart Post does ship to PO boxes since it's handed off to USPS. Any idea how to fix this?

Did you try street addressing -- using the street address of the delivery carrier unit, along with #XXXX to indicate the box number?

Not all carrier units participate in street addressing.

SmartPost and SurePost do deliver to P.O. Boxes.

Using the zip code, find the street address for that post office.

Whether or not that post office participates in Street Addressing --when SmartPost transfers the package to USPS --

that post office will deliver the "unit #" to the PO Box a few steps away.

Won't changing the address to that format nullify seller protection?  I know it shouldn't, since it would be the same address in reality.  However, eBay does not exist quite within the same reality that the rest of the world is in; and an INR case would be either an instant lose, or a lot of valuable time taken out of the seller's day trying to explain to a CSR that the address is the same, but just a different format.

This is something eBay definitely needs to fix here soon.  Unfortunately, that will probably break a metric buttload of other totally unrelated things, judging by the skillsets of their devs.
