Will having a store get me more views?

Hi all,

I've just started selling a little more on eBay. It's going well enough. I'm debating getting an eBay store. However, at the lowest level, which is where I planned to start, there doesn't seem to be much difference than not having a store. So, will I get more impressions with a store? Are there some perks that I'm not seeing?  And at what point in your selling did you start your store and is it worth it? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Best,

Devin

In my opinion, there is no benefit to a seller who has only 32 items listed to have an Ebay store.

It is unlikely to justify efforts on your part to drive traffic from elsewhere in the Internet.

Your free listings are more than adequate without a store.

Spend the money you would spend on a store for more inventory.

No, A store won't get you more impressions.

Selling items that are in demand, with little competition, will get you more sales, which are more important than impressions.

Sports cards, well, that is a super saturated category.  Gonna be hard to get more impressions, let alone sales.

You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious.

NO, a store has nothing to do with more views, more impressions, or more sales. That is all up to YOU to get buyers to want to look at and/or buy your stuff.

I suggest stop doing auctions with sports cards. It is way oversaturated with sellers and the odds are slim you will have many lookers before the end date. Just use BIN IPR.

To get more views you have to "pay extra" for promoted listings.

The store will enable you to post more items; if you post more items you'll get more views.  you need to make a certain amount in sales to even justify the 20$ fee.  I believe people with a store pay  almost 1% less in final value fees so you do the math in how much sales you need to cover that 20$ with the 1% savings on the fee.

Thanks! My current listings are my experiments. Yes, I'm seeing better results with BIN. I haven't figured out what IPR (?) is, though.

You get 250 free inserts each month without a store same as basic. While there might be some savings in fees, would that save you any money in the long run?

It sounds like I'm better off staying where I am until I'm at a place where fees make more sense.

Thanks,

@dev93

You should get an eBay store when it makes financial sense to do so. That is, get a store when it will be cheaper for you to get a store then pay insertion fees (for increased number of items offered). You have quite a bit more listings to go before it will be helpful for you to have a store.

Also, don't forget having a store does not increase or eliminate your seller limits. Focus on maintaining excellent eBay metrics, customer service, and increasing your store offerings. When you approach a limit, request an increase.
