In a couple of words....Good Til Canceled GTC goes up as one of the WORST policies ebay has implemented since I stared in 2000. Sales have declined. Which means LESS money for the greedy corporate bosses at ebay. Well done, nice job ebay!

Do you have other selling id's?
I ask because it doesn't look like your sales suddenly declined since March 18th.
Into your life it will creep

Why would ebay tick off half of their sellers?
Because they know most of them will stay, and they won't really miss the ones who decide to leave.

Your sales don't look much different then before the change.

Hi, this isn’t the first time eBay has implemented an unpopular policy change, and likely won’t be the last. As for why, i’d say eBay’s thinking is that it has an obligation to its shareholders to be as profitable as possible. Accomplishing this is its primary goal, as it is for any business.
Keeping sellers happy is farther down their list of importance. However, these two things do not have to be mutually exclusive. Sellers may not like the changes, but will come around if the new policy proves strongly successful in driving sales.

In regard to the reply by kensgiftshop I want to ask why I see posts commenting on how much the OP is selling, now and before. How is it you have that info? Are you basing it on feed back, or do you have some way to see other seller's sales figures? It just makes me wonder if you are a concerned part of the community or an ebay troll.

I can't think of features that ebay ever announced that was cheered by any sellers, ever. They've always announce features that are meant to thin the herd. I was spoke to an Ebay customer service rep complaining about the return policy. She said, that's part of doing business. If you can't handle returns then don't get into it. What she said finally sinked in and I immediately started cancelling auctions. Ebay is just a dumping place for me for leftovers. I don't depend on them for money, there are better places for running your own business on your own terms.

When you look at the items a seller has, on the left side, scroll down and click sold listings.
That will show you items they have sold lately.

Where did you get the information that "half of their sellers" are mad about this change? You can't make that determination by the outcry on the threads as the threads only represent a fraction of the number of sellers active on Ebay.
I do understand and respect why you are upset. This move is very problematic for many sellers. I'm just asking how you know it is half of their sellers.

OMG, jumping right to calling someone a "troll" because YOU don't know how to look at a sellers current sales and Ken does. Really!!!

While that may be true, I've never seen the outrage about any eBay change from people that have never posted here before as with the mandatory GTC.
That being said it could very well be half the sellers are mad about the change, but those sellers probably don't account for anywhere near half the sales since eBay has claimed that 80% of sales came from GTC listings before the change. Mega sellers with multiple quantities of their items have been using GTC all along.
I don't like the change, but I'm not sure it will reduce my sales over the long term even though my March sales were at an all time 19 year low. Obviously the outrage over the change is not helping collectible sellers like me, but then neither did the March technical issues.

This is a big blow to small seller. Big eBay store owners are not affected because they have endless listings. eBay is going in the direction of being more like amazon

Big eBay store subscribers do not have endless listings? They pay a hefty monthly fee for features that include a limited number of free insertions. Trust me, many eBay store subscribers have to same issues of more listings than we have free insertions.
This change is actually designed to help the small sellers retain the same buyer engagement factors big eBay store have enjoyed. I really do not understand why this is so hard for many to understand?
Good Luck Selling!
