Hi,
I’m a bit confused by an item someone bought, it cost enough that eBay required a signature, the buyer paid right away, even swooping in at the last minute to outbid everyone else, but going on over a week hasn’t singed for delivery at the address nor has picked it up at the post office.
The one odd thing is that the items the buyer is also selling look like they’re at a more humble home than the one it was shipped to. Not a word from the buyer either and they’ve done 100s of transactions all with good feedback.
Talking to support they kind of shrugged, and said the funds would be released next month and they’d send a reminder.
It looks like the USPS is just going to send me back the item in another week.
Anyone know what could be happening? I’m not sure how it could be a scam, but it’s concerning when there’s anomalies.

How many scammers are out there? Geez. Sorry to hear this.

Yeah they picked it up. So there's no option to say they didn't receive it unless the USPS made a mistake, and eBay has the funds in escrow... it's now on eBay to honor the releasing of the funds, which they're late on.

And I got paid, so worked out fine.
I think if our banking systems, basic finical infrastructure in general didn’t have so many dumb loopholes that allow organizations dump the risk on the end consumers for fraud I’d have not thought twice here.

If you have not sent the email to the buyer about pickup you probably better right away. Sometimes the PO holds the package for about 7 to 10 days and then sends it back to the sender. That's what I was told by the PO. If they don't pick it up, then they probably changed their mind and decided to allow it to be returned to you for the refund. Just contact your buyer and let them know to pick it up soon.
