I only been with ebay for just two months, I was scammed by a known scammer (known by other sellers) on 6 items that were purchased one after another in about two weeks time. Then claims were filed accusing the items were either not working, ripped, or arrived damaged. On the first two cases ebay immediately sided with the buyer (scammer) while the others were on hold pending for 'evidence' but ultimately sided with the buyer, I was charged return shipping label fees and only to receive envelopes back with a flat piece of cardboard inside. When I take the first 2 cases to customer service I told them this buyer is a known scammer to other sellers, and, out of 100+ items I have sold this is the only buyer open claims for damaged goods, why would any seller on earth that has a 100% feedback rating would want to send damaged items to one single buyer she does not know what-so-ever! Why would one single buyer keep buying from a bad seller 6 times one after another? Why would one singler buyer open claims on all the items he/she/they ever purchased from one single seller? Why? One customer service person advised me to refund the buyer just to make this thing go away. Eventually my cases were taking to the Appeal Dept and they were reversed. This one scammers got multiple ebay id's scamming people endlessly, yet ebay would allow that to go on, and on, will not shut it down, nor would share what other IDs they have so we can block them to minimize our potential loss. This person/group targeted people selling paper or plastic type of products, been doing this for who knows how long. As far as I know, some of the IDs are still active. Their IDs are not being mentioned here to prevent violation of ebay's privacy policy.

You were reimbursed.
Congratulations for achieving that.
When will ebay stop this person? When it cuts into their bottom line.

I encountered the same scam. Buyer opened claim alledging item was damaged/not as described, then sent back an empty envelope and ebay refunded his money. His/her feedback comments showed a history of pulling this scam on other sellers (10 out of the 33 feedback comments were of this nature). (Yes, I know I should have read through all the comments before mailing the item.). When I called ebay and explained what happened, rep. informed me they were still not reversing their original decision. Rep. informed me that when a buyer is reported, ebay will look into the buyer’s activity/history and take appropriate action if necessary. If that were truly the case, how could this buyer have pulled this scam so many times and not get caught? Maybe I’m making too big a deal over this, but knowing that I’m basically at the buyer’s mercy definitely changes how I feel about selling here.

I think it depends on who you talk to on ebay. I had the same problem with the scammer buying from us at 3 different names & every item they bought from us, they opened a case on. When they appeared on the 3rd name, I called ebay up wondering how they got through registering in their system using the exact same name & address that ebay had suspended.
Low and behold, the scammer is still active despite having scammed nearly a dozen more sellers since then.
Pretty bad when ebay not only sides with the scammers over their good sellers but gives them the tools to do it with then pats them on the back afterward to allow them to do it again to other sellers.

I bought a iphone on ebay. The guy had 0 feedback but I figured ebay would protect me if it went wrong. I got a tracking #. Weird that the weight of the package said 22 pounds on the tracking info (for a iphone) . It said it was delivered but I never got it. In the mean time ebay removed the listing because it knew it was fraudulent. I called and talked to a rep and they saw the problem and said I would get a refund. They sided with the scammer and I'm out $500.00. Now they are shut down over the virus and not taking phone calls. I have been on ebay for 20 years with over 900 100% positive feedbacks as a seller and buyer. They let some loser steal my money. Unreal

File a claim with PayPal. But first you need to go to the post office to get documentation of the Intranet GPS coordinates of the address where this package was delivered. If you can show that the package was not delivered to your address you can get your money back.
