Why does eBay have an incessant need to keep changing the listings and site?

Here we go again. eBay is going to drive everyone away one way or another. It's bad enough that everyone thinks eBay is one massive glitch. Now eBay's rolling out another beta test that failed last year. Hiding the descriptions, conditions, and photos will lead to numerous SNAD claims. Buyers will skip the links, and then buy stuff only to ship it back on the sellers dime.

Is it really that hard for eBay too get it together when it comes to mobile device viewing on the net? Come on' it's not rocket science. Just some code. Everyone else seems to have a handle on it, including the mom an pop sites. Get with the program eBay. Stop all the constant changes. Get it done and then leave it alone.

Why does eBay have an incessant need to keep changing the listings and site?

Probably because it's something they CAN do and distracts them from the stuff they apparently CAN'T do (like fix the endless glitches)

wow your fired up today.... It does seem the tinkering leads to more tinkering and a big mess....

I say , if Ebay spent more time pushing the VHS market back to the top, some of us would be very happy!...ok i'll stop....

I actully don't look at the mobil app stuff...but noticed I get many sales from it... so yes stop messing with it.... you know i wish they would just flat out copy some of the other stuff out there.. that is working better...hint hint

When people ask me where I sell at online, I'm going to start telling them "Major Glitch".

eBay states that my accounts get between 30 to 50% of their sales via mobile devices. That's a really big number. All that tinkering is also layering new code over all the old code, which is not good. I know what you mean. It was like when they move the sign in box from the left side of the screen.

They put it in the center and put a banner over it "We have a new look", an added a link, "Tell us what you think". The sign in box was a perpetual loop. It didn't work. It just kept refreshing to the same box. A grammar school kid could have done better using a java script site. It took eBay 6 months to fix it.

Someone on the Boards who worked in IT posted that IT people like new projects, but they are not too much into fixing things.

FWIW.

'e-glitch'

Making me laugh.

Has anyone else noticed how nicely sales pick up around the time of the month when your monthly statement is due, etc.  Seems like when it has to do with me getting billed and them getting paid out of my PayPal account, they shower some extra sales on me to smooth over my possible feelings of resentment and fleeting thoughts of dumping them.  Smiley Very Happy

Well, apparently eBay knows I do love a smooth talker, always loved being sweet-talked by my honey-man, and this is their way trying to get past my feisty side, just like that man gettin' on my good side.  Smiley Wink

Those are the ones that get fired first, or never hired in the first place.

I'm having a hard time typing, just got done making a huge taco meal, and I deep fried the giant round bread tortilla. Now I'm having a hard time eating my taco, because it's massive.
