Why do my listing show 3 DAY DELIVERY when I have a 2 day handling time??? This is a fantastic way to make buyers angry! In all my listings I have a 2 day handling time checked, however the buyer will only see what estimated time it will be delivered in. I usually ship out next day, however may need 2 days to ship out. If that's the case, how does ebay find it OK to tell my potential buyers that they will receive their item the day after I ship??? I think it's about time to let the buyers know what to expect from the seller...not the misleading site their selling on!

I see delivery in four days to 38868. If I change my zip to a California one (90210, what else lol) the blub disappears. You're seeing the delivery time to your zip code.
Since you ship next day that's what Ebay uses, not your actual handling time.
If you want that actual two days to be used in the estimate, you have to actually ship on the second day.

I am having the same problem. My handling is set to 3 days yet the listings show delivery in 4 days. And mine are Priority Mail items. Doesn't make any sense. And the bad part of all of this...if you have your handling set and ebay can see although you say 2 or 3 days or whatever, they are taking it upon themselves to see you may have shipped same day or sooner and that is what they are adding into your calculation. Plus...once you do sell something, you as a seller, don't get to see what ebay has sent the buyer re: the actual delivery date.

Because you usually ship out next day. eBay uses your historic handling time to determine estimated delivery dates. Based on your typical shipping time, eBay is providing accurate estimates to buyers. Taking an extra day to ship once in a while means the buyer will receive their package a day later once in a while which is something eBay is obviously ok with. They would rather advertise a faster delivery when it's probable you will meet it.
If you change your habits and always ship in 2 days then eBay will adjust the delivery estimates. I don't know how long it takes for the change to go into effect.

meanwhile you get a buyer that needs it in 3 days and buys yours because it says it will be there in 3 days.
You use all of your handling time and it doesn't get there in 3 days, but you get to deal with the irate customer. I know. I just went through this. I have a 3 day handing. I shipped on day 3. Well within my time. Buyer needed it earlier.
I get the neg from it.
