I often see posts from sellers asking why a competitors items are for MORE than why they are selling theirs for.
I sold a item today for $9.00 + $5.00 shipping. $14.00 total
I see 7 other exact same items listed...
$3.99 + $0.69 shipping = $4.68 total
$5,95 + $0.75 shipping = $6.70 total
$4.35 + free shipping = $4.35 total
$4.50 + $3.00 shipping = $7.50 total
$8.99 + free shipping = $8.99 total
$7.00 + $1.00 shipping = $8.00 total
$10.00 + $1.50 shipping = $11.50 total
So why would somebody buy mine for $14, the most expensive one out there?
Proves my point that you can't explain or predict why some buyers do what they do.

You are seeing those items, but perhaps the buyer did not see them 🤔
Beyond that it is because you're the "best seller on eBay" 😂

Ah that's right! Ebay's search is all screwed up.
It only works for me.

Maybe EBAY shows customer "higher priced items" so they can make more commission.

That sounds like something ebay would do.
Greedy, dirty, rotten scoundrels.

1) The shipping may be different for that buyer than you are seeing, though one was Free shipping and I don't expect it to move the needle by THAT much.
2) Feedback - I always look at it.
3) I usually don't go for the cheapest. If an item is 'too cheap' and the shipping is 'too cheap' (not free), that usually makes me wary.
4) The other sellers were the ones posting on here about no sales and eBay assigned a super secret special team to hide their listings from everyone except people selling the same item. 🙂

Reminds me of a story of a roadside dealer selling a small Native American bowl
customer asked why the same item one one side of the store costs $5 and the same item over the other side costs $10?..The man said Well....some people like to spend $5.00 and some like to spend $10.00.

I'll postulate a reason which I would prefer to be true but doubt.
Yours was the only listing which charged enough for shipping to be using a tracked shipping method.
Some buyers believe they cannot trust any seller who ships without tracking, and expect to pay for it.
Being the lowest priced seller is not always a winning strategy if you cast doubt on the timely and safe delivery.
Anything which casts doubt on the seller or the transaction can turn off some buyers.

Very Plausible. Thank you.
My listing does say "Will be shipped USPS Ground Advantage with tracking."

This buyer emailed me & asked for a recommendation on you. You're welcome! lol
Also helps prove my point that it is possible not all buyers see everything available for sale. 🙂

Thank you!
I'll give you a 13.25% cut of this sale.
Can I calculate that using just the item price?

I think it is only fair that I get 1000% of the shipping since I don't do any of the packing, addressing or delivering to the PO. 😛

Which is also a good argument against allowing sellers to leave negatives for bad buyers.
Or angry Responses.
The only ones who will ever read them are future customers, who will form an opinion of the seller from the comment.
