***bleep*** do you think it is? Do you think it’s free to sell here? Did you read the fee schedule before listing? What were you expecting to be charged?

I'm sorry but why would you choose to sell an item online without having first read the TOS. All of the fees are spelled out for sellers. If you are being surprised by any fees then you apparently didn't read the policies for selling on this platform. Congrats on your sale too. Best of luck to you....

Now would be a good time to find out what your next item will cost.

Hi you should be aware of the fees and policies on this site before you list something. They charge 12.55% plus on shipping & tax. You should have researched this before you listed. You have another $800 item for sale to you will again be hit with more fees if it sells. Its not free to sell on ebay it never has been. Just hope the buyer does not do a charge back on your sale. I hope your aware of ebay scams.

Well, you're a new seller with almost no feedback.  Do you think the standard fees are higher than xyz platform down the internet?  12% to 15% is common.

The good news is that you get to write off the fees and any other expenses when you file your taxes.

The bad news is that there is a 70% chance the future buyer of your $800 toy X-Box will scam you out of your money.  Then you will really be whining on the message boards.  It is very risky to list high priced items on ebay.

Good luck with that.

The last time you used eBay fees were probably 10% plus another 2.9% to PayPal, totaling 12.9%. PayPal isn't processing your payments anymore, eBay is managing payments. The final value fee in most categories is 12.55% to eBay charged on the total amount the buyer pays (item, shipping, taxes, etc).

You're yelling at everybody here and calling them names because you're unhappy that you didn't verify fees before listing. Excellent move.

If you haven't sold on eBay in a while then all the more reason for you to first update yourself on the fee structure before you list your item. There was no reason for you to lose money on this transaction. You could have raised the price more to make up for the associated fees, then your profit wouldn't have been less. Also please remain respectful on this forum. Best of luck to you....

So they're lower than you'd thought they'd be?

Actually you still have to ship the item, so your net is $752, less shipping.

The fees are normal. How long ago did you use eBay?  The eBay final value fees were 10% for a long time before MP. Then you paid PayPal 2.99%-3.99% plus .30 for their fee. .  That made seling something on eBay "a long time ago" cost a total of 12.99% to 13.99 plus .30 per transaction..  Now PayPal is cut out in MP and you  pay eBay 12.35%.  I think you need to quityerbiotch-en about the fees

It was your responsibility to know the fees before listing an item for sale.
