Why Immediate Payment?

Why is immediate payment required? I estimate about 5% of our sales are from buyers who want to pay late (after their paycheck, for example).

We have NO problem waiting a few extra days. We'll need money then too!

It almost seems like this was added because ebay thinks sellers would like it. This seller does not.

I just checked a bunch of your listings and none are showing immediate payment required for me.

They are talking about the ebay-forced immediate payment. That doesn't show up anywhere - just forces the buyer to pay or worse - add to the cart.

It doesn't show up until they are forced to pay. This is being controlled behind the scenes. Several of my customers can validate that.
