Seller is responsible for the package until it shows delivered.

Why would it be the buyers fault, they received a damaged or empty package.

I had a padded air jacket package slit open with knife or razor, the items removed, and the air jacket was delivered empty, clearly cut open. No sticker from USPS. I know the buyer very well, she's a regular and a friend. It was stolen for sure, probably by a USPS employee.
I had dropped this package in the big inside drop off chute of the post office. I can only assume a postal employee stole the contents. Why it was delivered with no 'oopsie' sticker I don't know, but I was not happy and I replaced the entire package for my customer and sent out a new one. ifyouloveit ------
My husband purchased a cell phone on e bay a few months ago . The package arrived torn open and empty . In our case the post office had taken notice and placed it in a clear bag with a sticker before they delivered it. E bay requested a police report which only began days and days of being given conflicting information by the e bay reps after they got the report . The seller would not respond to any messages and e bay would not hold them accountable as far as getting a refund . The last e bay rep he spoke to advised him to call his bank . After he did the money was back into his account the next day . Not too long ago I seen something on the news about the police arresting several postal workers on theft charges . Tulips

Of course luckythewinner is correct in saying '' morally speaking its the fault of the thief'' . But whomever the innocent person is thats financially held accountable seems to be a guessing game . 😞 Tulips
