Who needs a sale on eBay?

Just go out in your garage and grab something that says: Made in the USA

List it for a fair price and it will sell

American made products are in high demand

Foreign stuff is abundant and it doesn't sell very well

Try it and let me know how it worked out for you. . .

Who needs a sale on eBay?

Being new to eBay and having not sold anything yet I found this interesting. Is this something that you've noticed makes a big difference when finding a product to list? I have a lot of clothes laying around that I was thinking about listing. But would you suggest a true made in america product first? I appreciate any and all comments/help. Thanks guys!

Indeed. If they were made in China, they would have been malfunctioning or emitting poisonous gases by the time you got them home in most cases.

There are almost 7 million clothes listings. You would be in a over saturated category. Not saying you shouldn't. Just giving a heads up.

Everyone has options. Just be sure the best option is right for you.

I hate Walmart with a passion but I got dragged to one with my aunt a while back and they had American made towels right side by side with the ones from China and the cost difference wasnt worth thinking about and they were better made too!  I read about American company Emerson Electronics in an economics course and wouldnt you know - Walmart was selling their appliances.  They were also at Best Buy and on Amazon for comparable prices to Chinese junk.

Emerson has been around a long time.

That said, their televisions are now made by Funai in Japan, they were first bought out by Panasonic, then Funai bought out the television division. Some are contracted out by Philips in the US and Canada. Not sure about anything else they make. I'm sure they're all overseas now.

The  Made Here brand towels - worth every cent. They wear like iron. (but they don't feel like iron Smiley LOL )

I agree, Made in USA is hard to find and if I'm selling something that is made in USA, I'll put it in the item title.

Yep ... so do I.

I even LOOK for Made in the USA stuff at flea markets, thrift stores, estate sales etc.

I've also got a graphic that I add to the listing.

MadeInTheUSA.jpg

I even bought an SSL Certificate so I could host THAT image (and others) on my own server so I don't get yelled at by eBay that my images aren't https://

It would be awesome if ebay added this as a search option.

"Made in USA".

I definitely agree and it is a button that I would use everytime!

It might be possible for Sears to survive if they went USA only and hired a good advertising agency to push the idea. . .

Sears: We can help make America Great again!

But the management is too far gone to see the light. . .

Yeah the last time I walked through Sears their stuff was ugly and badly made of cheap materials.  And the stores were grungy.  They wonder why they are going out of business.
