Who'd a thunk?

So my sister in law knows about my side ebay business.  Several weeks ago she tells me that she bought me something to sell on ebay .......... soy saucer spritzers.  I'm like WHAT?  What is a soy sauce spritzer and why on earth would anybody buy one?  I did a little research on ebay and told her there is really no market for them and i don't think they will sell. I asked her if she could return them, 20 of them.  She said no because she lost the receipt. So i ended up listing them.

It sat for a few weeks without  sale. I was convinced that i would never sell one. Then a few weeks ago i sold one. I couldn't believe it. Today i just sold 3 more!  LOL

Proof that people will buy ANYTHING.

Ok, but you just revealed these sales and now there will be more competition and those competitors are going to undercut your price.

Look, if people can successfully sell used drawers and Cheetos that look like famous celebrities, then why not soy sauce spritzers?  At least the soy sauce makes sense lol

... or perhaps it is just proof that "doing a little research on eBay"  does not always give an accurate picture of the market 🙂

I'll trade you a submarine screen door for one of your defective parachutes.   😃

I think it makes perfect sense.  It's so difficult to get exactly the right amount of soy sauce exactly where you want it to be.  Hot sauce would be another candidate but I'd be concerned it would interact badly with the plastic.

To be clear, the bottles you're selling are empty, so that only thing that makes them "soy sauce spritzers" is because that's how the original manufacturer labeled them. (Given the Oriental language on the package, I assume they're a lot more popular for that purpose in that part of the world.)

Somewhere out there is a manufacturer who's telling his buddies at the local soy sauce emporium, "So, I was sitting here with twenty hand-sanitizer squirt bottles that I couldn't get rid of, but then I thought, why not label them as soy sauce spritzers? I bet some American would buy them..." Smiley Happy

Oil/dressing/sauce spritzers are a great idea - you get much better control and better coating of your food with a spritzer than pouring it on where it dumps around and ends up pooling. They're pretty popular, especially for salad dressing.
