Hello everyone.
Which image hosts are acceptable for custom descriptions?
I need to host the construction images of the html template itself, like borders, dividers, background and so, plus few images at the bottom of my description showing the manufacture and packaging process, which will be the same for all listings.
My concern is that some image hosts are not allowed on ebay, others delete your images after some time, and in the worst case, completely different images appear after, like, month or two.
If I buy my own web hosting to store my images, are there any requirements? I've heard that the links should be https:/, but there is additional feature SSL on the web hostings that costs extra money. Sometimes even more than the hosting itself. Is the SSL required?
Sorry for the long post, but I really want to make everything right and do my listings correctly.
Kind regards
Georgi

Didn't you ask this before?
When making a custom HTML listing, i don't think ebay requires (or cares) where the image is hosted but don't take my word for it. I would search the ebay site for s definite answer. Good luck.
PS: I love your avatar.

We use BucketLynx (https://bucketlynx.com) for our image file hosting. In addition to hosting our product image files, it has a feature that automatically populates image file links in our eBay (and other store) bulk upload files, so that feature saves a lot of CSV editing time for large store owners.
You can also link to the image from your HTML and as long as you have their service, the image links will work. They also handle the SSL certificates, so they offer https compliant links.
