I have never found a need to scan barcodes on my desktop, but isn't that something you would solve by adding a scanner on the computer? That would come with whatever drivers were needed for your Windoze or Mac box, along with a little desk scanner or light pen or whatever. All you're doing is uploading a 12-digit number, after all, so you would place the cursor in the UPC field on the listing form, then zap the barcode of whatever the item is that's sitting on your desk, and your scanner would burp the numbers right into the UPC field.
