Admittedly I haven't sold in several months.. but it was definitely earlier this year 2017. I went to create a new listing tonight and I'm shocked to see that we can -NOT- set buyer options.. specifically the one option I want as a seller is "Prevent people from bidding that are not in my allowed countries list" or even the other one that we could select it to prevent people from bidding that don't have paypal. Or the other option to set it so people with excessive negative item strikes in the past 6 months can't bid either.
I know we used to have these options, I've been selling on ebay for 14 years... Where the heck has ebay moved these options to? Are they removed completely?
I miss the "Old" page for "Create a new listing" ... I wish I could just get it back, it had everything I wanted.. 😞

Same place it's always been. Site preferences>buyer requirements http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences

I found out how we can access the old seller tool for now! After you create a new listing with the "new" seller tool, then just click on it in your account and click the "EDIT" button and then you get the full old seller tool via the edit screen that comes out with all the original options right where they should be.
Also with the older edit tool we don't need site prefrences, that's two pages for what we can do in one.

We log into ebay every day. And nearly every day we notice something different. For instance, last night a buyer paid for an item at 8:59 pm, we have our shipping options set up to where we ship (the same day) when payments are received before 9pm. Well, at 9:05 pm we have a message that says the shipment is late. Just kinda funny , that's all

do you ever really ship anything same day at 9 pm? My same day shipping cutoff is 10am arrival of payment. That gives me time to package and actually ship the item that same day, especially since my carrier usually arrives at 4 pm, or I must get to my post office before they close.
Your shipment is late if it isn't shipped out by 11:59 pm. Ebay has been working hard at dinging for late shipping. You might want to rehink and consider changing that time to something that is based in reality. Creating a shipping label by 9 is not actually shipment same day, since I'd venture that the shipment doesn't occur until next day. But ebay does dumb things all the time with trying to micromanage.
Oh hell, I realize that you're saying it dinged you for the 9pm cutoff time saying it was late at 9:05 pm....that is a real problem. Still, how can an item meeting your 9pm cutoff time be shipped same day? Wait, you ship cards, do you even use tracking? Do you just manually mark the items as shipped? Maybe this is not a big deal for your business model, but I see another huge mess for a lot of sellers if the bots can't get this parameter right. I have read several threads about erroneous shipping dings. This is probably the answer.

With the new form, you don't need two pages.. just the one to cover all the bases. I love it.
It sounds like you change up where you ship to and don't ship to, listing by listing? (Maybe I'm not quite getting why you wouldn't just set your preferences once and be done with it...)

What did the message say? I've never seen one. But I do now have my settings set to 2 days handling time.

It's new...anyways, no matter if we set same day shipping time to 330 pm, if we get an order at 329 and dont ship it by 330, we get the late message. time will tell if it takes away our prestigious power seller rating.
Maybe this only applies to same day shipping?
