Where has eBay hidden the phone number for customer service

Unfortunately I need to speak to one of eBay's customer service reps and lo and behold eBay has buried the CS number even deeper in it's morass of non-help pages. Does anybody know where to find the number?

eBay does not have a public number for you to call. At the moment, the link for a call back appears to be hidden as the last option in the chat window.

For general questions you can try asking on the discussion boards.

Or you can use the Help & Contact link at the bottom of the page. Use the "Contact us" link and follow the prompts for your issue and you should eventually wind up on a page with a chat assistant option. Choose that, and the last option that appears in the chat window -- use the "See more" option -- should be "Contact an Agent".
