Hi,
I've been contacted by the same buyer twice in two days asking the same question.
I have a record of my answer in my "sent" messages for both answers, but I'm not seeing either question or either answer anywhere on the listing, nor am I seeing a link where they might be on another page or whatnot.
I'm going to update the listing so the answer is in there, but I could have sworn there was a place on listings where questions/answers were supposed to be visible. Did that feature go away? Did I dream it existed in the first place?
Btw, I did a search before posting this and found some posts from 2015, and some podcast or some such links. Is there a way to filter only 2023 forum posts?

Questions and answers don’t automatically get placed in a listing when answering the question there’s a box you click to have it shown in the listing. If it’s not in the listing check in your messages that where the question is first sent.

I checked the message and have "reply", "reply with offer" and "view listing".
I don't see a box to tick in the message.
I'd post a screenshot, but it has the other person's info several places.

I think that option may only appear for your first reply to the interested buyer, and possibly only for listings currently running (i.e. not questions post-sale, or for an item no longer listed). If checked, the original question and your answer are added to the FAQ section of your listing.
In the past, anyway, that publish-the-question option was definitely only in effect for the first reply, not any follow-on exchange. Some sellers were in the habit of posting every new incoming message to the listing, so I (in my buying account) would sometimes ask some innocuous question first, in case our Q&A went public, and then follow up with my real haggling after that, when the seller no longer had an option to post further discussion where everyone could see it. 😈

Hehehe I hear ya. I do remember seeing a box if I wanted a copy to go to my email address that I did not tick, but if there was another one to tick for posting the question/answer to the listing, I missed it.
Oh well. Maybe I'll see it next time.
This was a question about the age of a salvaged item (and in every listing I use a template that says I don't know the history of any of the items because they're all salvaged).
On mobile browser, you have to click several different places to get all the info, so I understand why buyers don't see it if they're using a mobile device. I do not know what it looks like via the app that I do not have.
Thanks for the help!
I updated the listing, which now takes it out of the search for up to 48 hrs.
