Where are my templates?

I went to list some items for which I had saved templates.  With the new selling format, I now cannot find them, Where did they go?

Where are my templates?

@pinksteroni,

OH NOOO!   I just went to relist something and got this AWFUL listing screen.   I haven't even tried to list something new using my templates that I worked so hard to make.

I hope my templates are there because I didn't save any copies of them to my computer, thinking I could save it to eBay, as I have been doing for years.

I did see when I signed on to eBay a blue box from eBay that says:  "Looking for your old homepage? Find updates to Saved Searches and Sellers here" -- but I refuse to click!!

There's no access to your 'old' SYI templates and there's also no way to delete or change the Listing Designer as that's not supported by this atrocity either.

@ymeagainlord -- what does SYI mean??    How could eBay do this????    Without any prior notice???   They just poofed our templates?????    What is a Listing Designer?   I have only ever used the regular listing but listed from my template because ALL THE INFO I NEEDED WAS SAVED THERE including a lot of the description, my Disclamer, my price, my shipping ...................everything!!!

SYi is the old Sell Your Item listing tool.

Listing Designer was free with premium stores - it was like a border/themed template.

I did read posts about a 'workaround' to get your templates to work back when they first brought this "new" tool out. You could try searching the boards for threads with the word template/s in them.

And yes, I would have liked a say 1 week's notice that this was going to be foisted on us, in order to get stuff fixed before the change.

Where are my templates?

I found this post from 2016 from @pocomocomputing Hopefully it still works.

"If you are using the new Sell Your Item form it does not support the old Sell Your Item Sell Page saved starter templates. There is a workaround to using the old SYI saved starter templates and it is fairly simple.

First use this link to get to the old Sell Your Item manage starter templates page with the starter templates. (You may want to bookmark the link in your browser.)

http://cgi5.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ManageTemplate

Create a new listing using one of your starter templates from the above link. When the Sell Your Item form opens, you will have the old Sell Your Item form filled out with your starter template as before. Now at the top of the SYI form page, click on the change eBay category link. This somehow triggers the new Sell Your Item form to come up pre-filled with all of the starter template options as far as I can tell. Then you can now create your listing with the new SYI form!

Post back if it works for you. I have posted this workaround a couple of times and it seems to work for others. I also requested to the eBay Seller Hub programming team to allow starter templates to be use directly for months now."

That link does cough up my old templates but without the content which takes the most time to fashion: the all-important photos.

Back to square one, I guess.
