If i sell an item for local pickup only (big car part) does ebay hold it against your stats since you dont have a tracking number to provide? Do i have to mark it picked up or shipped or anything and if so how quickly to avoid ebay holding it against my "stats"? Also if paid for in person when picked up will ebay count it as a transaction? Do i just mark the item payment received? Thanks

Mark item payment received. Ebay does not require tracking.

Hi, below is the policy for local pick up in the eBay Help pages. Ebay has implemented a QR code now that can be used as proof of pick up. It's all explained there.

Yes and no.
The QR code can only be utilized by the seller if they have are using and or have downloaded the eBay APP.
The eBay APP sucks plywood as well as being unusable on my 1992 Motorola brick phone.
I just had a local pickup not to long ago for an item that I sold for $1k. The buyer gave me their QR code that eBay supplied to them and after they left I went to input that QR code on my Windows based desktop computer. eBay does not provide the seller with a desktop page that they can enter that QR code to prove that the buyer picked up that item and that the transaction was completed. Nada! Nothing! Zip!
Once again another half baked eBay style half measures approach.

If you dont enter a QR code then does ebay consider it an item not received/sent against the seller?
Or can you just mark it as shipped and its done and completed without any problems as far as ebay is concerned?

I have never had a problem with local pickup items being counted against you.
If it happens, just tell buyers you won't mark it as sold and why, I'm sure they'll understand.
