When seller post item for sale with "Offers Accepted" How does eBay notify seller if offers come in.

Posted an item for sale Buy Now, Offers Accepted.  One buyer made five offers on same listing.  Seller was never notified through Ebay messages.  Where did the offers go?  Seller only found out about the offers accidentally when viewing the listing outside of the Seller Activity section.  There, under History five offers were noted.  But it was too late to accept the offer.  Also, how do I now contact the person who made the offers?  I assumed that any offer for the listings would come through ebay messages and under ebays perview. There are no active jumps in the offers section and I can't find any other way to get to any offers ecxcept by viewing/entering my listing from the outside.   And I don't seem to be able to get to the person.  Any help would be apprciated.

9 times out of 10 when we see posts like yours the expired offers are Seller Initiated Offers. In other words, they are offers you sent to buyers that had the item on their watch list or in their shopping cart and those buyers did not accept the offers.

If a buyer initiated the offer you would be able to see their ID on the offer.

If a buyer initiated the offer you would see it in several places from eBay messages to eBay notifications to the pending offers section on the Seller Hub Overview page to e-mail alerts if you have them set up.
