This is beyond ridiculous.

I'm on a desktop. Not doing anything else particularly, just futzing around on ebay, saw I had a message and went to messages and was greeted with that.

The exact same thing happened to me a couple years ago but eventually it all disappeared.
Clean out all your cookies, and try using Chrome instead.

Chrome also has some funky issues since they refuse to update for Windows 7 now.
I'm sure it will disappear eventually.

Windows 7 might be part of the problem. Isn't Windows 7 pretty ancient by today's standards? Didn't Microsoft stop supporting it about 5 years ago?

It is and they did. Windows 8 is the oldest OS they still support these days.

I had to stop using Firefox because the messaging was a disaster. Works way better on Chrome.

Not seeing that here - Firefox on Win10, Firefox on Win11 or my Android (chrome).
@toomuchstuffagain35 Win7 was a good OS but if you're still using it you're opening yourself up to a lot of vulnerabilities. Even the Fisher-Price Win8 would be better. 😲
