Customer ask "where is the item that they purchased being shipped from"? I am dropshipping and my location listed on ebay is Tallahasse Fl. Once I give tracking info to customer they will see that it is not from Tallahssee. What should i tell the buyer?

Tell the buyer where the item is actually coming from -- they'll figure it out as soon as they see the tracking information, anyway.
The item location in the listing is supposed to be the location of the ITEM, not the location of the dropshipping seller. You should fix the rest of your listings.

Many state in their description that the item will be shipped from their supplier.
That way, those who don't want to go through a drop shipper know not to buy from them.

Evening,
I just went to your listings and it appears you are a new seller selling very expensive shoes.
Hopefully you are very knowledgable in selling here and realize that many folks will not be happy to find out you are simply a drop shipper after the sale.
Drop shipping is a challenging business model and making sure your customers know this is just the beginning of the challenges.
Castle had a good point above about mentioning in your listing about your product being shipped from your supplier BTW.

When you became a drop shipper, what was your intent to say in response to a reasonable question?
Are there other aspects of your "business" you might want to work out now?

If you are dropshipping from your own warehouse. that's one thing.
if you are dropshipping from china,, or some international port.. that's another.
I think some buyers have been burned by chinese sellers.. especially , items where the chinese post a group of pictures that are complete exaggerations of the item you actually receive.
(this happened to me, a couple years back. I ordered a really cool leather bag., the price was only 25 dollars or so,. I was curious to see if the chinese really have gotten so good at producing quality products and then sell them for so much less. I have seen stories about the bait and switch the chinese do with high end wedding dresses etc.
so, I doubted the bag i would receive would be like the one pictured, but if it was great!,, if not, it was market research.
well ,, i never received anything. As i recall the chinese had found a loophole in the listing software.
and it had the shipping date as months away, even though the listing said delivery was 2-3 weeks. When i called in to ebay, they couldn't refund me because technically the seller wasn't late yet.. I hope this makes sense.. It was a glaring loophole in the software, and i think ebay got around to fixing it. I never really pursued it after that. Lesson learned. BUT FOR SURE, when i buy something and the pictures seem to good to be true.. etc.. i always ask the seller if they actually have the item.. i'm sure that's what the buyer was asking you..

You should have filed an INR complaint with PayPal to get a full refund.

OP - I'm going to be very honest with you. You are dropshipping a highly scammable item - so the fact the buyer doesn't know you are drop shipping is the least of your worries. Are you drop shipping from a Nike distributor or from another venue? Many Nike accts have been shut down because the sellers are not Nike distributors. Go to youtube and see all the big sellers who lost their stores due to drop shipping Nikes.
You have 0 feedback - as I said the items are magnets for scammers especially with your 0 feedback. It would be best to build your acct up by selling small items that aren't scam magnets. Even if the sneakers do arrive - be prepared when the buyer asks for a return. I as a buyer - would never purchase something like this from a 0 feedback seller because all I know - these are fakes. You are the middle man and will suffer the consequences.

Tell them the truth, the item is not located in Tallahassee.
Since you are dropshipping, you need to know where they are shipping from and set that as the item location.

It doesn't sound like it in this particular OP's case but I know what you mean . I purchased a tee shirt on e bay from a seller whose stated location was only a few miles from where we live . I thought I would get it before the weekend . Turns out the seller was actually in China and delivery took much longer than I ever expected . I eventually received the shirt and it was nice but I left neutral feedback for their dishonesty . Tulips

This is a big reason that Ebay is losing customers. It's not because of American sellers but overseas sellers who misrepresent the item location
