What should I do?

Hi

I'm a new seller on eBay. Recently I had my very first return of an electronic item. TLDR it's a computer chip that requires basic IT skills and other components. He agreed he will buy something else in order to fully verify the chip is in good condition. Now it's been 3 weeks the return is still open. I tried to reach out to the buyer but still no response. Should I accept the return? Do I contact eBay?

Basically the buyer just left the return open and hasn't done anything. My money is still on hold with ebay.

FYI - If a return request is not escalated by either party it will be closed by eBay after 21 BUSINESS days.

Be aware that if the buyer does escalate before the deadline eBay will almost instantly refund the buyer, not require a return, not refund your fees and hand you a serious Defect.

That leaves the OP at risk until it closes.  If the buyer escalates it, Ebay will rule for them and the buyer will get fully refunded because the seller did not accept the Return Request.

The OP doesn't appear to understand that even with a no return policy they still need to process INADs.

You accept the return. It is up to the buyer to return it or not in it's original condition

Ebay doesn't care about what you discussed with the buyer
