Hi. I'm new to selling. I've sold three items. Very exciting. But I only got feedback on one of them.
I think maybe it's because I waited too long before leaving feedback for the buyers. For some reason I thought it made sense to wait until they received the item. But maybe it's more correct to give positive feedback as soon as they pay? Or perhaps right after you ship the item?
What is correct and proper feedback etiquette for sellers?

Customer pays, you package item up and immediately say thank you for your purchase. Just like standing in line at a retail store. Only time I wouldn’t do it that way is if buyer already gives signs of being a problem, and that is rare. I withhold immediate feedback maybe once a year.

I have no problem leaving feedback first but I wait until the whole transaction is over - shipping, delivery, paid - and they are all happy with no returns. I leave all my feedback in a bunch and it often prompts buyers to leave it for me in return (if they haven't already). I think it is 30 days you can leave feedback. There is SSSSOOOO much that can go wrong between payment and delivery so best to wait.

Either party has 60 days to leave FB.
