What is the cleanest way to add an item to an invoice?

Buyer bought three different items from me and would like something he missed bidding on. I told him I would sell him one for what the starting bid price was and he wants it. So I ended the relisted auction item and turned it into a buy it now thinking he would buy it and it could be added to the invoice. Now I am wondering if that will even work since I am not sure if he can BIN and have it show up with the other unpaid items so I can combine the invoice. Tips, suggestions, please. TIA

Yes, if the buyer has not yet paid for the Auctions they should be able to add the BIN to the Cart and checkout once for all the listings.

Is there something I have to do to move the process along (like send him an invoice for the three auctions first) or do I just wait until he does the BIN and I will be able to combine everything in the invoice then? I messaged him with the BIN listing but have not heard back yet.

Invoice? Why do you need to send an invoice?

They purchase the BIN and go to checkout. If you needed to adjust the shipping you should have factored in the discount on that BIN listing.

If eBay allows them to do a BIN without paying then you could send an invoice and it would include all unpaid items.

He has 3 auctions he has not paid for yet (they all have a shipping charge). What I found works well is to calculate combined shipping up front and send an invoice for all items with the combined shipping charge via an invoice. I had one buyer request I do it that way and it seems to work well. What I did before was have them check out all items with shipping, separately, and then refund them what ever the difference was after figuring out combined shipping.

So here is what I am going to try. I called CS and it appears this is how to handle it. The buyer did the BIN with associated shipping charge on one item. I sent an invoice for the 3 items they bought via auction. I calculated combined shipping for all four and deducted what they paid for the BIN. When I ship the one box with all four items I will be buying one label. The CSR says I can buy the label for the three invoiced items and they will get marked as shipped. He says I can then add that tracking number to the already paid for BIN item (I see how to do that in the drop down). What I am uncertain about is how does the BIN item get marked as shipped. Does that happen when I add the tracking number to it?

Well that's a weird way to do it but it will work.

As far as shipping, if they make two payments the tracking will probably only get posted to one of the transactions. No problem, after you print the label check the orders, if one of them is still "awaiting shipment" just add the same tracking number. You can add the same tracking number for multiple orders as long as they are all for the same buyer.
