What is the best way for getting shop followers?

Hello Everyone,

I used to have a store here many years back and now after many years with no store, opened it again. I tweet and post on facebook, but is there any good way inside ebay of promoting my shop and getting followers? Either free or paid? I just need to be updated. Thank you so much!

You get followers by offering really exciting products at great prices!

This isn't social media, people don't follow sellers unless those sellers have things (and a constant flow of new things) that excite a particular buyer.

Followers unless they actually buy do nothing for you.

Your Social Media activities outside eBay can help bring buyers to eBay and specifically to your listings.

What I do is contact in eBay messages every buyer and send them my eBay store link and ask them to check my lots at least weekly, and follow my store. I also include a sticker please follow my eBay store when I mail out. You can buy the sticker I mention on eBay. Sharing your items using the social media butons at the top of the eBay listings can help. I created a Pinterest board and share my eBay items to it and that helps increase views, especially since I've nearly 2000 following my Pinterest board. It can help direct them to eBay. And you can get shop followers that way to. Instagram, twitter etc can all be a way to promote your eBay listings, but you need the right products to get the followers.

No one here can answer this.

That depends entirely upon who your social media "promos" are reaching. Are they going to a community of people who don;t use eBay and who are ready to buy your products? Or just to family and friends?

How many people follow you on Twitter? I have less than 100 friends on facebook; none of them would buy my items.

Followers don't always equal sales. People follow you if they like or are interested in what you sell.
Or its other sellers selling similar thing that keep an eye on your listing. Often the case
Either way, this is not like social media, your end goal is sales, not popularity...

i have 7, 250 followers on twitter and 4,000 on facebook. I mostly promote my etsy shop, but found that my ebay promos don't work as well... not sure why?

But that proves the point that having followers doesn't equal sales. Interesting that they do work for etsy. I assume most of your followers are more familiar/comfortable with that site then.

Certain spots in search results are for sale.

If you search using Best Match, you'll see Sponsored Listings.  It is the 4th spot and (I think) 15th.
