I have been debating this for a while and with the lovely in your face return options eBay is encouraging, I wonder what the best ship from return to address would be? I currwncur use my home address but am wondering if it is time to get a PO Box. What do you do?

I use a PO box. I'd just as not give everyone my home address. I particularly dislike the thought of a nearby buyer showing up at my house.

Hi, I use a PO Box for all my mail. More secure and no knows my home address. Call me paranoid.

Do you use a PO Box or a private mail box?

You need a larger secure receptacle whether it is a lock box at your home address or a P.O. box.

As a seller my PO box protects my home address.
As a buyer it protects my purchases from the elements.

I currently use my home mailbox. I have the biggest one I could find. I do live outside the city and fortunately have not had any issues with missing mail. I attribute that to where we live being out of the way of many. I am debating a PO box for safety and privacy reasons however.
My return rate has gone up from 2% to 5% this year.

Renting one would cost you and if you are just going to use it for returns, ask yourself how often do you check mail?
if you dont want anyone to know your residential address, these days it is not too difficult to google and find out,so having a rental box for that purpose maynot work too well.
I closed mine as I dont get too many returns ,so it gets rather expensive to keep one just for that purpose.

I have a huge mailbox, and just leave my packages in there for the carrier to take. My return address is my home address.
I do get a lot of mail, because I buy a lot on here, so it is easier to just run out to the mailbox to get my mail.

I've always used my home address. I'm not making a 15 mile round trip to the PO every day just for mail when I can have it delivered to my door. I have a secure dropoff/pickup point for packages, so I have no need for a POB. I don't get returns, so that's not an issue. If I did, it still wouldn't be an issue.
If you do not have a secure area, then a PO Box would be a good option.
