EBay Stores are useful for those of us with a large number of slow moving (or multiple) items.

I've never found any of eBay's options that require fees to be of any use.

The big question should be "How does it appear on a mobile device?"

Get out your smartphone and look at listings similar to your own. See if you can spot the Featured Items.

If you can't, don't pay for the option.

Here is a guide to the costs of Stores.

Don't want to be harsh, but drop the part about your son and the Marines.
It's unprofessional and many shoppers would think it was a sign of a scam.

I could have swore I removed anything having to do with the United States Marines and any family from ALL my listings, Wondering if there is another glick in the ebay system..hmmm

As for the featured items I have never really looked for any of them but thank you for the comments and I will try and see what I can find.

eBay doesn't have any "Featured" upgrade available for listings any more. They were expensive and didn't pay off very often, and have been phased out several years ago. Stores can have featured items, but only if you have a store.

There are the listing upgrades that are currently available, but mostly they aren't worth the extra cost.

I could be wrong but I think the OP is referring to the promoted (or sponsered) listings and just using the wrong term of "featured".

TRS sellers get $30 worth of them every quarter but non-TRS sellers have to pay a % for each promoted listing that sells.

Happy 2018! May this upcoming year be a prosperous one!
