What is Your Recommended Ad Rate for Promoted Listings Standard Campaigns?

Hey folks,

We have determined that in order to sell items, we must use promoted listings. What ad rate do you recommend and why?

Thank you for your kind help and feedback.

What is Your Recommended Ad Rate for Promoted Listings Standard Campaigns?

I remember reading a post late last Fall from a member.

Their question was something like if everyone uses the promoted listings, doesn't that mean all of them show up first in listing search and how are the listings arranged in order? Sellers battling each other by paying extra money just to have their listing on top. Just seems like a money grab.

I believe most shoppers on here are going to invest a little personal time finding the best price on whatever they are looking for based on condition, new or not, price, shipping cost, and so on.

Pre-internet, companies would pay a higher fee to have their adds show up in magazines & newspapers, but I don't think that works on eBay.

It all depends on what you sell & what you can afford.  If your items are high competition, then you'll want to go higher & if you have no competition & your items are desirable, then you may not need to promote.   Only you can decide.

Best bet is to check your competition & then experiment with different rates & see how you do.  I would experiment for a month or so before making any determination.
