What is Africana Americana?

I have been trying to list Aunt Jemima pancake on the go and each time it's taken down because it's Africana Americana.

What constitutes Africana Americana?

Aunt Jemima has been ruled OFFENSIVE by eBay of late.  There was a category for "Black Memorabilia" or some such, but anything listed there was being given the AXE by eBay as offensive.  Martin Luther King souvenirs, photos, etc. were deemed politically incorrect and no longer allowed.  

A quick look at ebay"s CATEGORIES list seems to have been purged of  that category.  Nor do they have one mentioned "Africacana Americana" that I could see.   My first take is sellers are changing the words to avoid bot takedowns of previously popular items that ebay has ruled offensive.  

Sorry, but it appears old Aunt Jemima was promoting hatred and has been shoved aside along with Mrs. Butterworth.

What is Africana Americana?

It is seems to incorporate almost anything (resembling, seems like, looks similar to, is reminiscent of, might put one in mind of, etc.) that might convey the subject of or about the history of those of African descent, in America, from the time of the settling of America.

The link you posted is not a category. It's a keyword search for the two words africana and americana, so it finds listings that have those two words in their titles and/or item specifics.

The Aunt Jemima brand is/was recently renamed because the image and logo are based on racism. That is why your listing is being removed.

Personally, I think that should be worded to the effect that 'some felt that it was based on racism'.  Being an octogenarian, and having 'experienced' Aunt Jemima products from an early age, with no inclination of bias or thoughts of racism, in regards to that and many other items/products, I tend to think that there may be many more like me that might take exception to the presumption.

I could take exception to your mistaken presumption, but that would be counterproductive.

I was under the impression, especially with your link included, that you were merely conveying what the company or representative had claimed, therefore it was not meant as a critique of your post. 

And, I believe everything a company or corporation claims, too.

There could be an argument there about Aunt Jemina, I'm afraid.  The original pancake mix, in the late 1800s is said to have been named and the 'model' taken from an ad of a minstrel show character by the then 'developer' of the pancake mix, Mr. Rutt.

You would be correct.  They are FOOD products, nothing more.
