While reading some of the links that were posted in the Product Based Experience
discussion thread, I came across talk of a new payment processing program called Adyen. I'm not sure what it is. The article stated that the program will be implemented within a year of the 2020 termination of ebay's current contract with paypal, and that the actual drop dead date when all sellers will have to enter the program will be announced sometime within the next 29 months.
What is Adyen? How will it work? Are there any links around that give detailed information about it?

Paypal has my checking account number + a credit card number. I started ebay so many years ago (1999) I didn't even remember that they had my credit card number. I don't remember why they required the credit card number, since the paypal fees are deducted from the paypal payments, then again ebay owned paypal at the time, and maybe the credit card number was to ensure ebay could access the seller's credit card if needed to pay the monthly fees. For years all of my fees, returns, the works, is deducted from my paypal account. The only thing going on with my bank account is the deposits, no money ever comes out of it for paypal or ebay. That's going to change with Ayden, right? Since there won't any paypal-like buffer, ebay will be accessing the bank account for withdrawals, for fees, refunds, store plans, right?
