Hello I have recently purchased something on eBay and it was scheduled to arrive on jan 4 due to a snow storm the worker had “no access” and it said would try to redeliver the next day. Jan 5 comes and I patiently wait for my package as I see the truck pull up the mail carrier hands me some bills and magazines I am left in shock to see no package. In frustration I filed a redelivery for jan 6 and it said it would arrive then. Also on the 5 I called USPS Support 2 times both waiting up to an hour to ask question both telling me my package would come on the 6th. Well the 6th comes and I wake up extra early to call my local post office to check if my package was being sent to my house. The worker tells me it is in the truck and on it’s way. That’s 8:00 AM ... I call back around 5 to see what the problem is as I became worried my package would not come and the man tells me that all carriers have left and my package was on the truck and all deliveries would be made that night. He said that the trucks would be out later then usual from the commotion from the snow. Well he told me that the trucks would be out as late as 10 and he would give me a call back if no package was delivered. Well it’s 11:00 PM Now and I got no call from this man and the post office was closed. I am beginning to believe my package will not be sent to me and I am very angry. I don’t know what to do now but wait until Monday to see if it is delivered then plz help me out i don’t know what to do now. Btw when the worker had no access to my mailbox he didn’t leave a peach slip for a redelivery and I purchased the item on dec 31 so it’s been roughly a week now. Plz help

What state do you live in - is it on the East Coast.

Mail is a little messed up because of the storm.

You need to call your Post Office first thing Monday morning,

Find out where the item is - on the truck or back at the Post Office.

If at the Post Office ask if you can come pick it up.

If he can't get to your mailbox, then how can he be expected to leave the peach slip?

I have had misdirected or late packages suddenly show up after signing up for Text Tracking with USPS.com Text Tracking is a service that gives you updates directly to your phone as a package moves thru the system. Not a scientific solution, but it won't hurt to try, plus gives you the added benefit of seeing where your package is at all times. Below is the link with how to to sign up for this service. I live in NJ I did call my post office first thing on the 6th and was told the package should be on the truck and on it’s way. I asked the man if I could go get it at night then he said “ I don’t know when the trucks will be back they will be back late” he took my name and number down and said to call Be or he would call me back if the package wasn’t delivered. Well it got kinda late and I called back when it didn’t come and the man closed the office and wasn’t there to answer the phone. Do you think the office has workers there’s on Sunday I can call for answers?

I have had similar experiences.

Item is on truck. New people trying to deliver at 7 at night . Eventually have to give up.

So even though tracking says it will be delivered that day, it is not.

By Monday, NJ should be back to normal making it easier for deliveries.

Call Monday morning first thing. However do know that trucks are loaded early in the morning, so by the time you call it will robably have already been loaded onto it.. It probably will be delivered now that the streets have cleared.

But on the chance it is not on the truck, tell them to hold it at the Post Office and you will come and pick it up.
