What happens if buyer does not ship return item even after I sent him the shipping label?

The buyer wants to return the item with inaccurate/false reasoning of "not as described".  I did not want to get into the "he said/she said" situation and accepted his request for return. I sent him an eBay shipping label but haven't received the item back.

What happens if the buyer does not return the item? Will I lose the money spent on the return shipping label that I've already sent to the buyer (it was an *eBay shipping label*)?

You won't refund if the buyer doesn't return, you won't be charged for the label if the buyer doesn't use it. No worries!

You are not charged for the return label until the buyer actually uses it.  There is a window of time that he has to do so and that date should be visible in the details of the return request I believe.  You've done everything you should have done up to this point.  It is now up to the buyer to act.  Once you get the item back, then refund within 2 days.

If the buyer doesn't send the item back ebay will close the case after 30 business days. You will get a credit from post office if the label isn't scanned within 2 weeks-- I think. 

It is simply a sit and wait game.

Suggest saving screen shots of any pages showing what has transpired, so you have a record of if they later come back with a charge back.

I had a buyer open a NAD return for a t-shirt they claimed was fake because the plastic bag had Chinese text on it(guess where it was made). Despite providing proof to the contrary. She never sent the item back. Two months later, chargeback.

You did the right thing here by accepting the return. When it comes to a Not As Described claim, there is no fighting it, at least not until the matter is closed. If a seller loses the case, then they can appeal eBay’s decision. But the entire Money Back Guarantee is skewed in the buyer’s favor, virtually a slam-dunk, even if the buyer lies about the condition of the item. This is one of the greatest risks in selling here.

If the labels gets NO scans, cases will time out in your favor in as little as 19 days.
You won't be charged for the label.

If the label gets even one scan, this can drag out as long as 50 days.
You will be charged for the label.

and ebay can charge you the amount the buyer paid and the buyer gets the item and the money and your giving what you sold to the buyer for nothing...  thats the new way scammers can steal from you and get away with it and e-bay backs the scammer....

This just happened to me and the buyer won on appeal, got the money and got the item. Ebay even put a defect on my account. All the buyer had to do was claim that I sent an empty package. Because this is fraud and ebay participated in it, after pointing this out to customer service, the decision was overturned for a second time and I won again. I was ready to press charges this time out of principle.
