What do you ebay friends think of this new set of rules and ways to use ebay?

I am flabbergasted at the ebay changes.  I truly do not understand where to start to sell and buy again.

The internet is alive and always changing, just like life itself.  You'd be flabbergasted on any venue, nothing stays the same.  Humans have the ability to learn and adapt, it's how we survive and thrive.  Unfortunately, humans also complain a lot....

It would help if you could elaborate a bit more.

If you mean managed payments, it's not really new. It's just that many chose to ignore that for years and are now upset that they are being 'forced' into it.

If you're referring to the item specifics, well, yes my understanding is that has been kind of messy.

For me as a buyer, in the category I am currently focused on, I've not had any issues in the past several months really.

You have two new ways to pay-- ApplePay and GooglePay-- if your seller is in Managed Payments.

You also can end an Auction and win by paying the Buy It Now price.

And you can make a Best Offer on any Fixed Price listing, whether the seller opted for that or not.

Sell?

You now have 250 Free Listings instead of 50, which makes the Starter Store pretty useless.

You can put your listings on Time Away if necessary, not only with a Store subscription.

Managed Payments is here to stay.

As a returning or occasional seller, you have restrictions on the number and value of listings you can have in a month. You can ask to have these upgraded every 30 days.

As a returning or occasional seller, your Payments will be Held against your performance for up to 21 days, but you can shorten that by using tracking on your shipments.

EBay's Global Shipping Program makes it easier to sell overseas while protecting you from most parts of the Money Back Guarantee.

That takes us back about eight years of changes.

Maybe the OP is asking about the new uniforms we all have to wear in order to sell here?  Personally, I wanted one with an apron and I am not going to wear that hat, no matter what they say.  Hat hair and standing in line at the post office, is just not gonna fly for me.

And I've heard - cannot prove it of course, that certain Sellers got nicer uniforms and even better colors based on how *special* they are as a Seller.  I am not even certain, I got the right size?  They keep saying - one size fits ALL.  ALL sellers....one size.  Pfft.  As if.  😏

Ha! I know the trolls are always accusing people of being eBay "cheerleaders," but you're the first one I've seen in person. 😁

As for the official eBay uniform, I kind of like it. Granted, it's similar to the Amazon uniform, but theirs doesn't have that big furry tail sticking out the back.

I can swing with new rules but just today....

1. my saved sellers unable to search their items.

2. search re-directing me to category's that are not relevant. Had to over ride. 

So the new rules, I can adjust. The search issues are in the facts. My spending down 100% It's a mess. Period. They are aware, just waiting for the fix. Hope it comes sooner than later. I like stuff....

+1000 on the search. Search has been borked for years, but right now it's about the worst I've seen it. I don't even want to look for stuff anymore. 😞
