What are "you"going to do differently "this"  Christmas/Holiday Season?

1.  Do not over promise on delivery date (s).   It seems during the Christmas/Holiday season I get 5-6 buyers who buy at the very last minute and ask if I can get the item to them like yesterday.   This year, if its not at least 3-4 days before Christmas without Sunday included, I will make no promises on delivery timelines, its too stressful.

2.  Add more new items (Christmas/Holiday) gift type items to my listings.   I am a very practical buyer and I personally like used/ vintage items to sell and to be gifted to me; however, I  realize many people buying gifts are looking for new merchandise.  So, I am going to try and add (Brand New) items to my inventory.

FYI,

Its less than (2) months before Christmas!!!!

The way sales are right now it doesn't look like I will need to worry about Christmas sales! 😞

I've pushed listing pretty hard and have already listed most of what I have. I'm in used books so my sales do not skyrocket for the holidays. Grateful for what I can get, considering the competition.

I'm going to try to use up all my free listings early in the month in December so my auctions are timed to end in early December and I'm going to focus on "new items" for those auctions (because the poster above is right, new sells better than used right at Christmas). I will end my new Christmas merchandise a day before items could get there first class.

If I have any listing available later in the month, I will do auctions that end on the 26th (no hope of gettting it before Christmas if it ends AFTER Christmas) and focus on high price used crafting items that someone might buy herself with her Christmas loot!

Most of the craft items I sell in my store are not going to be big Christmas sellers, but they might be very good for after Christmas when crafters have a little extra moolah.  So I'll probably time a markdown sale for after Christmas.

And I'm having company for Christmas, so I may take a little bit of a break myself!

I urge you to not run auctions at the holidays.  Fixed price with Immediate Payment Required.

I am not going to do anything different this season. Like always, I am going end all my listings after Thanksgiving and start back up again in January.

Find the two boxes of tree ornaments that have disappeared.

Reduce my listings because few of my items are 'giftable' in any case.

Hope that Canada Post settles with the workers so they stop thier rotating strikes.

Promote my discount postage sales on FB.

Decide whether to continue selling on AZ which so far is absolutely useless and slow to pay for the few sales I've seen.

Be ready for a busy Boxing Day to New Years when my busy season starts.

Remember to ask BIL to bring a couple of cases of gin and vodka for the bar (he has a distillery) to the family gathering before Christmas, and increase my order of aquavit. He makes delicious aquavit.

Complete third edit on book manuscript in time for Ephiphany.
