I got this the other day. I've also go only 1 sale in the past month plus so I do not appreciate this at all. Around the time managed payments came out I wondered about this. One sale in 4 weeks is extremely depressing. I can say with the utmost confidence I will not be enrolling as any money I have will be used elsewhere. I've tried every possible method to generate sales on this site but the most recent changes have killed my sales completely I think. Unless you have comparison items you can compete with there is no way to be seen correctly on this site with any degree of fairness. You have to wait for someone, the right person to stumble upon one of your listings. There's nothing organic anymore. I'm probably not the only one hurting as a result. According to ebay a category I normally list in has 30k items and only like 45k sales in the past 60 days is it? That's pretty pathetic but that's what happens when you eliminate any mention of the 2nd largest retail holiday(by far I might add)and combine it with creditcardmas so you can be like etsyzon. I really don't know where I can list my items now. There really aren't any dedicated websites. Bottom line is I won't be enrolling in this ridiculous insult.

I also got a notice about this new payment method. I believe it costs extra to receive and have read a few posts that there are some glitches. Imagine that? I'll just stick to daily. My guess is they rolled this out due to the fact that Paypal wasn't a direct payment option for sellers anymore and a lot of sellers weren't happy about it. Don't know if that affected business as a whole... but who knows?
Have a great day.

Yes, it is sort of cute and also sort of useless if you use a buying account instead of buying with your seller account.

sort of useless if you use a buying account
Good point. The capability to have a usable "stored balance" has been available on other platforms that use Adyen for quite some time. This one is only for purchasing on eBay. I was quite fond of the PayPal version that gave you a debit card one could use anywhere, and even at the ATM to get cash.
One issue a seller might face when enrolling in this program is that you must activate Two-step verification to be able to use your "spendable funds" tool. So if you don't have a cell phone connection, that may be a problem, and the verification preference to remove it is then taken away until you get rid of the 'spendable funds' first. A couple of people found that the two step verification bot becomes quite intrusive, with the screen appearing numerous times even if you are logged in and simply changing pages in the regular course of eBay activity. More reports are needed to determine if that is the case for everyone.
For purchases, it is always safer to use a credit card anyway, and that protection will not be in effect when using your 'spendable funds'.
